Fountain repair and maintenance in Toronto and the GTA

Most fountain problems are simple once someone finds the real cause.

Design concept

We get called to fountains that lose water, fountains that stopped running, bowls that cracked over winter and ponds that turned green. Often the visible problem is not the real one. A pump that keeps burning out is usually running dry because of a slow leak. Cloudy water is often a filtration problem, not a chemical one.

We start by finding out what is actually wrong, explain it plainly, and give you a fixed price for the repair before we do the work. We service fountains and ponds we did not build, as long as the basic installation is sound.

What to plan for

  • Repair or replace

Sometimes a fountain has been patched so many times that a rebuild is better value. We tell you honestly when that is the case.

  • Freeze damage

Spring is when winter damage shows up. Cracks from trapped water can often be repaired if caught early, before another freeze cycle.

FAQ

Fountain repair: common questions

Why does my fountain keep losing water?

Evaporation and wind account for some loss in summer. If the level drops faster than that, there is usually a leak in the liner, a fitting or a crack in the bowl. We find it with a few simple tests.

Can a cracked stone fountain be repaired?

Often, yes, if the crack is caught early. Repairs work best before water gets back into the crack and freezes again.

Do you repair fountains you did not install?

Yes. We assess the installation on the first visit and tell you if anything needs to be corrected before we can stand behind the repair.

How often should a fountain be serviced?

At least twice a year: opening in spring and winterizing in fall, with filter cleaning during the season.
